Appearance
Standing at six feet five inches with a sturdy, though not bulky frame, Oroan is a fairly imposing man for a human. He has a tanned complexion due to the amount he travels throughout the world. His dark brown hair is messy and the bangs often hang in front of his deep green eyes. He has a fairly trim and cut muscle structure due to his combat oriented lifestyle. His torso arms and legs are criss-crossed with scars from the tempering done to him.

He is normally clad in a black tunic with red trim and a pair of black pants along with sturdy boots. His clothing is worn and they are clearly the only set he seems to own. As a warrior, his lack of armor is considered curious particularly as he carries a large broadsword with him, which is a weapon often used with armor. When traveling in harsh climates, he wears a tattered grey robe.


Personality

``Likes;;
Oroan is very fond of traveling. He is constantly wandering throughout the world and normally selling himself as a blade for hire to cover his expenses. Being bred for combat, he tends to enjoy his chosen profession.

He has shown a fondness for literature. It is very rare for him to not be reading when he gets the chance and he tries to familiarize himself with as much literature as possible. This has led to him having a diverse vocabulary and and understanding of many concepts for a warrior

As Oroan enjoys being light on his feet and taking on a physical challenge, he has taken a likeing to dancing and has become fairly profiecent at it.

``Dislikes;;
Tedium. Oroan is not very fond of following the exact same routine every day of his life and will try to figure out something different to do each day.

While he enjoys combat, full out war is not something the Oroan would wish to be part of without a very good reason. Lords sending out scores of men to die for them is something he sees as pathetically cowardly.

``Strengths;;
Having been altered through alchemy, Oroan is far different from a normal human, though his most powerful abilities can rarely be acessed.

Stamina. Oroan's stamina is nearly inexhaustible. He is just as susceptible to damage as a normal human in top condition, but he will not wear down easily, making him able to constantly operate at top form as long as he is not injured. This is brought on by the photosynthesis that triggers his Eclipse powers. He constantly draws in the light from the sun and stores the energy.

Reflexes. Oroan must focus to be able to do this, but when he is concentrating, things will seem to move much more slowly to his perception. However, this doesn't increase his speed meaning that if he cannot actually move quick enough he will only see what's coming at him.

Pheromones. Oroan can also release pheromones that can trigger fear in a twenty foot radius around him. Naturally things not able to be affected by pheromones wouldn't worry about this, and the fear is not overriding, but more distracting.

Eclipse
His title was not chosen randomly. Oroan's biology was been converted to work with a form of photosynthesis. And specific light patterns have different effects on him, namely the light patterns brought on by an eclipse. The light patterns will trigger chemical reactions in his body that bring on the changes.

Solar Eclipse.
This is Oroan's most powerful change. During the time of a Solar Eclipse and for three hours after that, his adrenaline is released at a constant flow enhancing his strength, speed and dulling his pain reception allowing injuries that do not actually hinder his physical ability to be ignored for a time. It also accelerates his healing rate tp five times that of a stander human.

Lunar Eclipse. While not as powerful as his Solar Eclipse state, this change is more common. His night vision is enhanced so he can see through night as clearly as if at day, his reflexes are further enhanced and he can perform a "shadow jump" allowing him to employ a one man ambush tactic.

``Weaknesses;;
Despite his powers, Oroan is still a human, meaning he shares their major weaknesses. He can be killed just like any human if he does sustain the right type of wounds, or enough of them. He needs air to breathe, food and water for his actual nutrients as the photosynthesis only provides him with direct energy and nothing more.

While he is indeed strong, tough and very quick, these traits are nothing above what a human can attain. They are near peak human level, but they cannot and never will go above that, his adrenaline flow during the Solar Eclipse not to be counted as that still will not go beyond what a human can reach.

After the Solar Eclipse phase ends, Oroan is very vulnerable as his body needs to go through a cool down phase to allow him to recover from what it has been through. If he doesn't exert himself the cool down phase is shorter, but only by a few hours, otherwise it takes a full twenty four hours to recover.

``Fears;;
Oroan fears losing his freedom above all. He is very independent and enjoys his vagabond lifestyle and will fight for it to the death.

Growing attached to people. Though he is not anti-social by any means, Oroan still will keep people at a distance, preferring a casual friendship over anything else so he doesn't have to deal with deep pain if he loses them.

Being used. Oroan was made as a weapon, though he doesn't like the idea of someone using him for their own ends.

``Secrets;;
He keeps the nature of his powers well-hidden and wishes to be viewed as a normal human as he doesn't like to think of people seeing him as anything else.

``Personality;;
Contrary to his dark imposing appearance. Oroan is a fairly relaxed and well-mannered man. He speaks his mind and does so often, though he always tries to be respectful. He find irony to be the most entertaining form of humor and though he seems ragged, he is actually fairly well cultured along with his good manners.

While not overly friendly, Oroan is far from a cold man. It is clear that he doesn't care to get tied down to anything in life, but if a person doesn't try to force him to do so, he is normally happy to be in their presence. He enjoys testing his combat skills with his broadsword and also in unarmed combat as well. Though most of the time this is friendly competition and he will often draw out the bout as long as he can.

When in a serious battle, Oroan is calm, precise and attacks without mercy.

``History;;
Oroan was specifically bred to become a weapon for the Ancore forces. Born in the province of Erynm so he would be away from the area he would serve, his parents hid away in the mountain ranges, creating an underground shelter for the task of raising their child to be what they wished.

Once he was born, his parents made sure to study carefully, wanting to enhance their child, not turn him into a monster from their tampering. Between the alterations, his parents attempted to raise him as well as they could in terms of giving him a good childhood. His father took care of the scholastic aspects, while his mother taught him the ways of combat. Many times, Oroan was laid out and altered through alchemical means. His parents informed him of what was being done to him and why. Though he had a hard time wrapping his mind around this, Oroan trusted his parents who despite their actions, still showed him nothing but parental love.

During his early teen years, Oroan was often sent out to attack bandit groups and vile mercenaries and the like. He often returned on the same day he was sent out, proving his effectiveness. Once he had been subjected to both kinds of an eclipse, his abilities had been well defined. He was in his twenties when the tampering was completed.

However, once he was ready, the reason for his tampering was rendered void. He was then given a choice. Become a soldier in the Ancore forces, or choose to try a different type of life. Oroan who had grown up reading stories about travelers decided to take up that life while his parents returned him. Presented with the broadsword he now uses, Oroan set out and for these last years he has become a sword for hire and his battles during the times of an Eclipse have led to his name, though no surviors have been able to recall exactly who they had faced. His title being more of a nickname than true Knighthood.

To this day he still wanders, learning more about the world, and deep down, hoping that he will perhaps find a true purpose in the world.
